Senior Associate – LitigationAt Vyman Solicitors, we advise clients across the full spectrum of commercial property – from developers and retailers to investors and entrepreneurs. Our team is growing, and we’re now looking for a commercially minded solicitor to take on a key role in a dynamic, friendly and highly regarded firm.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage a caseload of complex and high-value litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients on contentious issues across a range of industries.
- Represent clients in court proceedings (High Court, County Court) and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes such as mediation and arbitration.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members and trainees.
- Work closely with partners and clients to develop litigation strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
This Role Is Perfect If You:
- Are a strategic thinker.
- Are a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 8-10 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation.
- Have a proven track record of managing complex commercial litigation cases.
- Have strong advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Have experience working in a top-tier law firm or reputable in-house legal team is desirable.
- Have excellent understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation tactics.
- Have the ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
- Have commercial awareness and the ability to understand clients’ business drivers.
