Russell qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and has been a Duty Solicitor since 2000, specialising exclusively in criminal law for over 25 years.

With extensive experience representing clients at Police Stations, in the Magistrates’ Courts and in the preparation and conduct of Crown Court cases, he has successfully handled a wide range of criminal matters, from serious offences to road traffic and driving-related cases.

Most recently, in May 2026, he was involved in a significant one-punch homicide case, successfully securing a reduction of the charge from murder to manslaughter.

Known for his clear communication, meticulous preparation and tenacious approach, he is a determined advocate who works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome for every client.
