Wayne is a criminal solicitor within the criminal department having trained in Central London with a specialist fraud firm he joined Vyman in 2007.

Wayne act’s in a variety of criminal cases of all levels ranging from motor offences through to organised crime, fraud and murder.

Wayne is an experienced advocate in criminal proceedings and regularly appears in the Magistrates’ Courts representing the firm’s clients, as well as acting as Duty Solicitor.

As well as court work, Wayne is also a member of the Police Station Duty Solicitor Panel and regularly attends police stations representing clients arrested for various offences.

Notable cases

R -v- A, B and Others – Serious fraud matter where Wayne was par of the team representing D1 and D2 in a multi defendant, multimillion pound fraud trial which lasted 9 months. This case is the leading authority on PPI.

R-v- P – P was represented by Wayne from police station through to his trial for murder, whereby it was alleged he had attended the deceased’s property and stabbed him to death. Due to a robust defence including the instruction of notable experts P was acquitted of murder, an offence which would carry life and given the circumstances a tariff of approximately 20 years.

R – v- T – Client was a huge football fan but had been convicted of a public order matter at his teams home ground. Wayne successfully argued that a football banning order would be disproportionate and un-necessary.
