Experience
Zharna was admitted as a solicitor in 1998 and has been practising family law exclusively for the last 22 years. She is a Law Society accredited Family Law specialist and a member of Resolution, an organisation which adopts the principle of a non-confrontational and constructive approach to all family issues.
Zharna has extensive experience in all areas of family law including divorce, separation and complex, high value financial disputes often involving third parties. She also regularly acts for clients in a variety of children matters including successful applications to the Court of Appeal in cases involving international relocation and intractable contact disputes. She deals with cohabitation disputes and is frequently asked to advise on and prepare pre and post nuptial agreements.
Zharna joined the niche family practice, Bottrill & Co LLP, in 2008 and became a Partner in 2013. Prior to this she was head of the Family department at an established local firm for seven years. Following the acquisition of Bottrill & Co LLP, Zharna heads the Family department of Vyman.
Zharna’s approach is to provide clear, robust and constructive advice to her clients whilst remaining sensitive to the background of difficult and often highly emotional circumstances.
Personal
In her spare time Zharna enjoys a variety of pass times including travelling, baking, health and fitness and long country walks with her family.
